Itinerary

Wake up in the early morning and meet your guide at your accommodation. Get ready to soar above the ancient wonders of Teotihuacan in a giant hot-air balloon! Sip your coffee, receive safety instructions, and then let the colorful balloon lift you high, offering breathtaking views of the UNESCO-listed Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, the Temple of Quetzalpapalotl, and the legendary Avenue of the Dead. Prepare to take some pictures of the panoramic!

Once landing, have a typical Mexican-style breakfast and celebrate receiving your flight certificate with a glass of wine. Once done with the food, follow your guide to take a walking tour that will make you feel like living in the marvelous land of gods, and learn about the history of this Magnific ancient city.

Logistics

TRANSPORT: Complimentary pick-up/drop-off is included: please indicate the exact time and location for your pick-up during your booking (e.g. in the “Special Requirements” field). That is to say, we can pick you up from those parts of Mexico City: Polanco, Condesa, Roma, or Centro Historico. Other more remote locations might involve an extra fee.

TOUR DURATION AND CUSTOMIZATION: The standard duration of the tour counts from the moment of a meetup till the end of the tour. On the other hand, the tour is customizable, so we can adjust the time you spend at each destination. For example, if you want to visit an extra location (attraction/restaurant/market, etc.), you can do it on a complimentary basis if this visit (1) fits the default duration of the tour and  (2) doesn’t involve a major change of the route.

WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU: Comfortable clothes and shoes; coat/jacket; hat/cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen; personal travel insurance; IDs or passports of each participant (original or a copy; digital or physical); good mood and curiosity.

LANGUAGES: All our tours are led by local bilingual (at least Spanish and English) guides. Some of them fluently speak other languages (e.g. French, German, Italian, Mandarin, etc.) but those might depend on availability and cannot be fully guaranteed. If you want to have your tour in a language other than Spanish or English, please kindly inquire in advance.

Notes

• Travelers should have a basic physical fitness condition.
• Except for the hot air balloon flight, the rest of the tour is completely private.
• The hot air balloon flight is shared with other participants (up to 15 people/flight); an upgrade to a completely private flight is available for an extra fee. Please contact us for more info.
• Transportation: the type of vehicle depends on the size of your group and may include a car, 7-seater, or minivan.
• Age: to fly in a hot air balloon you must be at least 6 years old or 3 ft 11 in (or 1.20 m) tall.
• Not recommended for pregnant women and people with chronic back pains.
• Booking info: please provide the full names, dates of birth, and approximate weights of all participants in the booking. Also, bring a photo ID or passport.
• Pickup time: can be slightly modified by the tour organizer due to logistical circumstances such as weather conditions and availability at the time of the booking.
